October 24th, 6pm

Grilse Gallery, Killorglin

Dr Úna Nealon is a wildlife ecologist who wants to see bats getting the love they deserve. Her research shines a light on their secret lives and the vital role they play in our ecosystem. In this talk, she aims to change the way you see these fascinating creatures.

Bernadette Cotter

Bats are cool

Art installation resembling a figure in a pink translucent dress with long, thick, curly, gray hair and a pink veil covering the face. This is an image for Bernadette Cotter's exhibition at Grilse Gallery

October 25th, 12-2pm

Grilse Gallery, Killorglin

Life and death, religion and ritual, pain and sorrow are the threads that weave through Cotter’s practice.

Shrouded in red organza, wearing necklaces of hair rolled into balls, the artist stands motionless. Each necklace is one year of the artists discarded hair, thirty years in all.
